Actually, UPI of some people is going to be closed from Tuesday, April 1. In such a situation, the use of online payment apps will stop for the users. Some users will not be able to transfer money to each other from April 1.
According to the new rule of National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), some UPI IDs will be closed. Let us know who will be those users? Which apps will not be able to be used by the users? What will have to be done to keep the UPI ID active?
UPI transactions will be stopped for these people
NPCI has decided to close those UPI IDs whose mobile phone numbers are not linked to the bank account or are linked with inactive phone numbers. If the news is to be believed, UPI service will be stopped for those with inactive phone numbers for a long time. In such a situation, using online payment apps will also not be possible for those users.
These online payment apps will not work
- Google Pay
- PhonePe
- Paytm
- BHIM
Apart from these 4 digital payment apps, you will not be able to use any other online payment app. So first check whether your mobile number is linked to the bank account or not and if it is linked, then check whether it is updated with the active number or not? Linking of an inactive number in the bank records can hinder the use of UPI.
Keep UPI service active like this
To keep UPI service active, the number linked to the bank account has to be kept active. If the number is inactive in the bank, then immediately go to your bank branch and get your KYC updated. Immediately go to the bank and get your mobile number updated. By activating the linked phone number, UPI service will be started. Do get this work done before April 1.
