Under this, UPI users are given the facility to make payments even without internet. In such a situation, it becomes easier for users to make transactions when their phone has run out of data or they are unable to make payments due to not being in the network area.
UPI transactions can be done from feature phones as well
NPCI provides a special service for Unified Payments Interface (UPI) users. In such a situation, users using feature phones can also take advantage of this facility. Even if you are using a button phone, you can still do UPI transactions.
According to NPCI, feature phone users will be able to make UPI transactions through IVR number. For this, you just have to verify your UPI ID by calling on 6366200200, 080-45163666 and 08045163581. After this, you can make online payment by following some steps.
Offline UPI Payment Step By Step Process
To make UPI payment without internet, you can use USSD method. First of all, dial *99#. This facility is only for both Android and iOS phone users.
First of all dial *99# number in your phone dialer.
- Select the language option from the options appearing.
- After this enter your bank account and IFSC code.
- Now enter the number to which you want to send money.
- Enter the amount you want to send and click on send option.
- Once the transaction is completed, enter the UPI PIN.
