DND-KMP Toll Tax: For NCR residents, travelling from Kiranj Toll Plaza to DND-KMP, Mumbai-Vadodara will become three times more expensive from November 12. The new toll rates will be applicable from 12 midnight on Tuesday. Along with one-way movement, the rates of multiple journey and monthly pass have also been increased.

The new toll rates will be applicable from 12 midnight on Tuesday. Along with one-way movement, the rates of multiple journey and monthly pass have also been increased. Now, a car will have to pay a one-way toll of Rs 150 at Kiranj toll plaza, whereas earlier this rate was Rs 50. On the other hand, the rates of Badarpur toll plaza are lower than all other toll plazas.
DND-KMP Expressway is being built to improve connectivity of Noida and Ghaziabad with Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This 59 km long expressway starts from DND flyover in Noida and connects to KMP Expressway at Mandkol in Palwal district via Kalindi Kunj, Faridabad. Along with this, this road is also connecting to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Nuh district. This road is being built in three parts.
The 26 km stretch from Sector 65 in Faridabad to Nuh district was opened for traffic last year. Kiranj Toll Plaza is built on it near Palwal. Now the 24 km stretch from Sector 65 to Mithapur in Delhi has also been opened for trial. There are preparations to open it completely from November 12. After this, vehicles will start running fast on the 50 km long expressway in the city. Traveling to Rajasthan along with Mumbai-Vadodara will become easier. Keeping this in mind, NHAI has increased the rates of Kiranj Toll Plaza.
The toll has been increased by Rs 100 for one-way travel by car. At the same time, it has been increased by Rs 150 for movement from both sides. Toll rates have been increased by Rs 165 for light commercial vehicles for one-way travel and Rs 345 for heavy vehicles for a single journey. With the implementation of the new rates, monthly passes will also become expensive. Monthly passes for cars which were made for Rs 1650 till now, will now be made for Rs 5030.
Toll rates increased in just seven months
NHAI opened the 26 km stretch of DND-KMP Expressway from Sector 65 to District Nuh for vehicular movement last year. Seven months ago, toll rates were increased in April at Kiranj Toll Plaza. Under this, Rs 50 is charged for one-way travel for cars, jeeps and light vehicles. But this time the toll rates have been increased considerably. After the increase in rates from November 12, people will have to pay Rs 150 for one-way travel.
Four toll plazas in 50 km in the city
There are four toll plazas in the 50 km range of the smart city. These include Badarpur toll plaza to enter Delhi, Gadpuri to enter Palwal, Bandhwari to enter Gurugram and Kiranj Toll Plaza on DND-KMP to go to Mumbai-Vadodara, Rajasthan. About two and a half lakh vehicles pass through these toll plazas daily. Among these, Kiranj Toll Plaza has the highest toll rates.

NHAI Project Director Dheeraj Singh said, ‘A new stretch of DND-KMP Expressway from Delhi Mithapur to Sector-65 is going to open soon. This will increase the length of the entire route to 50 km. Therefore, toll rates are being increased. These rates will be implemented from November 12.’
