Who was Rajendra Patni?
First Rajendra Patni was elected from Shiv Sena. Rajendra Patni, who was elected on Shiv Sena ticket, later joined BJP during the ‘Modi wave’ and played the role of MLA while also serving as Washim district president. However, due to his ill health for the last two-three years, his son-in-law Gyanak Patni took over his work in the assembly constituency. Gyanak Patni has been actively participating in various developmental initiatives including organizing foundation stone laying ceremonies for several projects. This has raised the question whether he will emerge as a key figure for BJP in the upcoming elections, a discussion has started on this.
Gyanak Patni is currently working as the Vice President of BJP Jain Cell. He is also actively engaged in implementing many social activities, he is often seen participating in health camps and other community events. Gyanak Patni has been involved in the foundation stone laying ceremony for several development projects initiated by MLA Rajendra Patni in Karanja and Manora taluka. His increasing involvement in the constituency over the past year has attracted attention.

Devendra Fadnavis wrote on ‘X’, ‘Very sad news, my colleague in the assembly Rajendra Patniji passed away today. He was suffering from illness for the last few months. We all hoped that they would come out of this crisis. But today he lost his life. BJP has lost a public representative who has knowledge of rural issues. He was always ready to solve the problems of Western Vidarbha. His constant insistence was that the problem of irrigation should be solved. His demise is my personal loss. I pay my heartfelt tribute to him. We share the grief of his family on this sad occasion. I pray to God to give the family the strength to bear this loss.
