The series is based on the story of Ranga and Billa
Ranga and Billa kidnapped two siblings for ransom in Delhi in 1978. But when Ranga and Billa came to know that the siblings Geeta and Sanjay Chopra were the children of a naval officer, they panicked and killed them. Geeta was raped before she was killed. Kuljit Singh alias Ranga and Jasbir Singh alias Billa were given the death penalty and were hanged four years later.
