Two traffic policemen were injured after a man hit them with their car in Digi area of Pune district. Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested the accused, who has been identified as 20-year-old Prashant Kadam.

According to a senior police officer, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon when both the traffic policemen were on duty. The accused was driving an Alto and when the police tried to stop him for questioning, he ran the car over both the policemen. Both the policemen have been admitted to the hospital.
The policemen have been identified as Rahul Mote and Kalyan Bhosale. The accused has been arrested under sections 307, 353, 333, 279 of the Indian Penal Code and section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Police constable shoots himself in Pune, dies
A police constable in Pune committed suicide by shooting himself. The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Bharat Asmar. No suicide note has been recovered yet. Police said that personal problems could be the reason for suicide.
On Thursday night the deceased went to the toilet and locked himself inside. He shot himself around three o’clock in the morning. This incident came to light on Friday afternoon. Police is investigating this matter.
