NDA Seat Sharing: Before seat sharing within NDA in Maharashtra, Ramdas Athawale has asked for two seats for the party from BJP. Athawale has also talked to Amit Shah about this.
Lok Sabha Election 2024: On seat sharing in NDA for Lok Sabha elections, Dr. Ramdas Athawale of Republican Party of India (Athawale) said, “Our demand is that RPI should get two seats in Maharashtra. I have written to JP Nadda, Have spoken to Amit Shah and Devendra Fadnavis.”
A few days ago also, Athawale had demanded two seats for his Republican Party of India (A) to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Athawale had said that he wants to contest Lok Sabha elections from Shirdi seat of Maharashtra. The RPI(A) leader said that he will talk to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard if needed. Athawale also said that any controversy on the issue of Maratha reservation is not justified and his party believes that the community can be given a quota by creating a separate category in Maharashtra on the lines of Tamil Nadu.
