Delhi Assembly Election 2025: The Delhi Assembly elections have been announced today. Elections are to be held in Delhi in a single phase. Voting will be held in the capital on February 5, while the results will be announced on February 8. Along with this, the Model Code of Conduct has come into effect in Delhi. The current term of the Assembly ends on February 23.

Let us mention that on February 8, 2020, voting was held in all 70 assembly seats in a single phase. After this, the results were declared on February 11. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had won 62 seats with 53.57% votes in 2020. While BJP got 8 seats. During this, they got 38.51 percent votes. Congress’s account did not even open in these elections. They got only 4.26% votes. Congress did not get a single seat in the 2015 elections either.
Releasing the final voter list for the Delhi Assembly elections on Monday, the Election Commission of India said that a total of 1 crore 55 lakh 24 thousand 858 voters are registered. Of these, 84 lakh 49 thousand 645 are male voters, while 71 lakh 73 thousand 952 are female voters.
Earlier on January 4, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha members Sanjay Singh and Raghav Chadha had met the District Magistrate of New Delhi at Jamnagar House and lodged a complaint against the alleged deletion of voters’ names. Their allegations have been termed as baseless by the District Election Officer of New Delhi.
