Jay Shah has been honored with the Sports Business Leader of the Year 2023 award. He is the first officer in the Indian Sports Administration to receive this special honour.
Business Leader of the Year Award 2023: BCCI Secretary Jai Shah has been honored with the Sports Business Leader of the Year Award 2023. This news has been confirmed by BCCI from its official account X (formerly Twitter). While sharing the information here, the board has said that Shah is the first person in the Indian Sports Administration to receive this special honour.
BCCI shared a picture of Jay Shah and wrote, ‘Congratulations to BCCI Honorary Secretary Jay Shah for the Sports Business Leader of the Year Award at the Sports Business Awards 2023. This is a first for any person in Indian sports administration, he is truly deserving of this honour!

Apart from the post of Secretary in BCCI, Jay Shah is also the President of Asian Cricket Council. The Asia Cup was organized under his leadership. Prior to these positions, he had served as Joint Secretary in Gujarat Cricket Association.
Shah was elected as the BCCI secretary in 2019 and became the ACC president earlier this year. The recently concluded World Cup 2023 tournament has been the most successful World Cup in history.
The attendance of around 1.25 million fans was recorded during the tournament. This success of the World Cup is being linked to the success of Jai Shah. Once again the Australian team got success in the prestigious tournament. The Kangaroo team managed to win this title for a record sixth time.
