BSNL is preparing to launch a new service for its subscribers soon. The company is going to introduce eSim facility for users soon. By doing this, the company will directly compete with Jio and Airtel. Both major telecom companies offer eSIM service. This advancement will allow users to use eSIM in BSNL compatible smartphones. This information was recently shared by the CM Director of BSNL Board during the AskBSNL session.

The last four months have been great for BSNL. In these months, 5.5 million i.e. 55 lakh new customers have joined the company. BSNL has benefited well due to the increase in tariff. Most of the new customers who have joined the company are those who were previously using Airtel or Jio services.
Many new services launched
Recently, BSNL has launched many new features to provide better service to the users. The company had launched services like AI-based spam call identification feature, Wi-Fi roaming and OTA SIM a few days ago.
The aim is to install 4G towers
Apart from this, the government company is continuously strengthening its infrastructure. The company has set a target of installing 100,000 4G towers by mid-2025. The latest report also said that the company will start preparing to roll out 5G after installing 4G towers. Currently, the company is testing for 5G service in selected areas.
It is expected that BSNL’s 5G network will reach across the country in the coming few years. Recently, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has also told two plans of the government. BSNL has created a core 4G system in collaboration with C-DoT. The company has also worked together with innovations like Tejas Network RAN and Q BTS.
