Apoorva Makhija Controversy: Apoorva Makhija has been removed from the list of IIFA ambassadors. Rajasthan Tourism took this step due to threats from Karni Sena after controversial comments.
Content creator Apoorva Makhija is embroiled in controversies with Ranveer Allahabadia and Samay Raina. Apoorva is also known as ‘The Rebel Kid’. Apoorva was the brand ambassador of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), but has been removed after being surrounded by controversies. The IIFA Awards are scheduled to be held in Jaipur, Rajasthan next month. This decision was taken after Apoorva Mukhija was also in an episode of comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’, when Ranveer Allahabadia made a controversial comment on parent sex.
Apoorva Makhija was to do a shoot in collaboration with IIFA as well as Rajasthan Tourism. But now Apoorva’s name has been removed from the IIFA ambassador list. Rajasthan Tourism has taken this action. The report cited an official statement from the office of Rajasthan’s tourism minister and deputy chief minister Diya Kumari, saying, “IIFA has said that social media influencer Apoorva Makhija’s name has been removed from the list of IIFA ambassadors..” The statement further said, “She (Apoorva Makhija) is no longer officially part of the list of IIFA ambassadors.” This action has been taken after threats from Karni Sena. Apoorva was to shoot for the IIFA show in Udaipur at the end of this month. Karni Sena had threatened to stop this shooting and protest against it.
According to a PTI report, the Karni Sena said that anyone promoting obscenity will not only face protest but also physical harm. The Karni Sena further warned that such persons will be boycotted at the airport itself and will not be allowed to enter the state.
