Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma got divorced in February 2025. Both of them got married in December 2020 in Gurgaon (Gurugram). Dhanashree is a YouTuber and dancer. After the divorce, her life is going through a difficult phase and this has been revealed by Urfi Javed. He told that she had supported Dhanashree, so she has thanked her.
Urfi Javed told that Dhanashree Verma had contacted her recently. Dhanashree was targeted on social media before and after the divorce proceedings with husband Yuzvendra Chahal. During this time Urfi supported her. For this she thanked Urfi, who was a contestant of ‘Bigg Boss’. Urfi also told that Dhanashree is going through a difficult phase in her life.
Women are blamed
During a recent podcast with Humans of Bombay, Urfi spoke about how women are always blamed for controversies involving men in sports. The social media sensation said that she stands with Dhanashree and even wrote a long post in her support after constant social media trolling. Soon after, Dhanashree personally reached out to her and expressed her gratitude.
‘She was going through a very difficult time’
Urfi said, ‘I posted a story in her support because I felt she was being treated very badly. She contacted me and thanked me for the support. She was going through a very difficult time.’
Urfi had mentioned Virat-Anushka and Natasha-Hardik
Urfi had written in a long post, ‘Every time a cricketer breaks up or gets divorced, the woman is blamed from all sides, because in our minds our cricketer is our hero. None of us know what happened between the two or in the case of Natasha and Hardik, but it is definitely the woman who is to blame. Oh and don’t forget the time when Anushka was blamed for Virat’s poor performance. Remember? So is it always the woman who is blamed for the man’s actions?’
