Sikandar Box Office Collection: Salman Khan’s Sikandar is going to release on March 30. Even though there is already a craze about the film, some reasons have also come to light which can affect the collection.
Sikandar Box Office Collection: Salman Khan starrer and Ghajini director AR Murugadoss’s directorial debut Sikandar will release on March 30. There is a lot of excitement among the audience about the film, but some reasons have also come to the fore which can affect the box office of Salman Khan’s film.
Salman Khan is returning to the big screen after almost 2 years. His last release Tiger 3 came in the year 2023. Now with Sikandar, Salman may be coming in his familiar style with high octane action, but still the film is not getting the kind of buzz before release that should be there for a stardom like Salman. So let’s know the reasons due to which Salman Khan’s Sikandar can have a negative impact on the box office.
First reason: Sikandar could not make a record in Advance Booking
Advance booking of Sikandar has opened and according to Financial Express, the film has sold more than 1.5 lakh tickets till the story was written. Even though this data may seem high to see and hear, the real picture comes out when compared to Salman’s last release Tiger 3. According to Pinkvilla, Tiger 3 of the year 2023 sold 3 lakh tickets in advance booking in top multiplex chains. There are only a few hours left for the release of the film and it does not seem that the film will be able to break this record.
Second reason: Jaat will stop the speed of Sikandar
Sikander may be a very good film or it may also be weak. This will be known only after the release of the film. Even if the film gets positive word of mouth, Sunny Deol’s Jaat is releasing 11 days after this on 10th April. Which will get the benefit of being a new release and a large number of people will go to watch it. Obviously Sikandar does not have the time like Chhava.
One reason for Chhava’s good earnings was that no big film was released for one and a half months after the release of the film. But with Jaat releasing the next week of Sikandar’s release, the audience will get divided. Which will directly affect Sikandar’s earnings. That means Sikandar will have only a little time in which it can earn as much as possible.
Third reason: Fewer shows of Sikandar in Imax in South
According to the news of Bollywood Hungama, Sikandar has got only 2 shows in IMAX screens in Bangalore, while Mohanlal’s L2 Empuraan has got 3 shows. In Chennai too, Bhaijaan’s film has got shows in only 1 screen while Mohanlal’s film has taken the rest of the shows. In Kochi and Trivandrum, the chances of getting these shows have reduced even more because L2 is already making historic earnings.
Apart from this, in Mumbai, Sikandar has got only one IMAX show in Jio World Plaza on the first day because L2 Empuran has already been given 4 shows. Apart from this, Hollywood film Minecraft is also releasing on April 4, due to which the IMAX shows which are very expensive will also go to it. In such a situation, Sikandar’s earnings will be affected due to expensive tickets.
Salman Khan’s stardom will come in handy!
However, these figures are preliminary and the film hasn’t even been released yet. So the real picture will be known only when the film is released. It is possible that Salman Khan’s stardom may overshadow Sunny Deol’s Jaat and this film may become the biggest film of Salman Khan’s career. Apart from this, it will also be the second blockbuster of the year after Vicky Kaushal’s Chhava.
