Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole alleged in a press conference that the MLA whose son was allegedly involved in the Porsche scandal misused his powers to hide the matter.
Maharashtra Congress demanded the resignation of Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis while demanding a CBI inquiry into the famous Porsche car case of Pune. Congress claimed that the son of a Maharashtra MLA was also involved in this murder case.
On Tuesday, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole alleged in a press conference that the MLA whose son was allegedly involved in the Porsche scandal misused his powers to suppress the case.
He also demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the accident and said that Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis should resign from his post.
Nana Patole said that the CBI should investigate the car accident case, as there seems to be political pressure to save the rich accused. Devendra Fadnavis used his lawyer degree to save the accused. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde should give clarity in the case and Fadnavis’s role in this is also suspicious, he should resign.
‘The state is battling drought’
Besides this, Patole also alleged that the Sasoon General Hospital was a five-star hotel for criminals. The Congress leader said, “While the state is reeling under severe drought, drunk driving and drug cases are on the rise.”
The Congress leader alleged that such incidents have been reported in Nagpur, Jalgaon and Pune. But what is infuriating is that efforts were made through the government machinery to ensure that the privileged accused gets immediate bail.
Patole also claimed that in Nagpur, Fadnavis’ hometown, two girls crushed two youths to death with their car and got bail within 10 hours, adding that a similar incident had occurred in Jalgaon, where attempts were made to save the accused.
He alleged that an illegal drug racket is running in Pune. There are large scale illegal pubs in Pune and Nagpur. After the car accident case, 36 illegal pubs had to be demolished in Pune. BJP has ruined the youth by bringing large amount of drugs from Gujarat to Maharashtra.

In Kalyani Nagar area of Pune, the 17-year-old son of real estate developer Vishal Agarwal ran over two engineers riding a bike with his sports car Porsche, killing both of them. 14 hours after this incident, the accused minor got bail from the court with some conditions.
The court had directed him to work with the traffic police for 15 days and write an essay of 300 words on the impact and solution of road accidents. However, police investigation revealed that the accused was drunk and was driving the car at a very high speed. The minor is currently in a reform home.
