Poco is offering a powerful 5G phone for just Rs 7,999, yes, you read it right, Poco is offering such a device in the market which is offering 5G with Sony camera for less than Rs 8 thousand.
Poco C75 5G Review: If you want a 5G smartphone that fits in the budget and offers great features, then Poco C75 5G can be a good option for you. Actually, the price of this phone is less than Rs 10,000, but the in-hand feel of this device feels quite premium, especially in its Aqua Bliss color variant, whose back pattern is very reflective and there are no fingerprints on its back. While on the other hand we also have the iPhone 16 Pro, which starts looking very dirty after using it without a cover for some time. It feels good to see such a back design in a cheap phone.
Now the price is so low, so you cannot expect much from this phone, but still the device has an IP52 rating, so that it can protect it from light water splashes and dust. For security, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which works fast but yes, sometimes it delays a little 2 times out of 10. There should probably be no worry about the storage in the phone, because the device offers dual SIM and microSD card slot, so insert the SD card and increase the storage up to 1TB, but keep in mind that the SD card should be of good quality otherwise it can also slow down the phone.
How is the display and audio performance
The device has a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD display, which has a 120Hz refresh rate which is good. However, it has a tear-drop notch and the bezels are a bit thick. It is 2025 and such a design looks very boring in today’s time. It would have been better if there was a punch hole design instead of this because the company has made the back very good but it is common to see it in the budget segment. If you use YouTube or other video streaming apps on it, then you will find the colors and brightness of the display to be correct.
The device has a single speaker, but its sound output is quite loud and clear. Not only this, it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can use wired earphones in it, meaning you can enjoy sound without latency on this phone.
How is the processor and performance?
The Poco C75 5G gets a Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor, which gives decent performance. This phone performs well for everyday tasks like social media browsing, YouTube and light games, but it is not the right option for heavy gaming. If you want to play games like BGMI, Call of Duty or Genshin Impact, then you will see frame drops and lag. This means that gaming lovers need to avoid this phone. However, at this price, the phone is offering software updates for 2 years and security updates for 4 years, which is a very good thing in this segment.
There is a twist in 5G support
On hearing about a 5G phone for just Rs 7,999, it seems like a great deal but there is some confusion about the 5G support of this phone. Now a normal user like us got happy to see 5G but the company wrote “Next Gen 5G” on the box but actually there is a twist here as well. The device supports only Jio’s 5G network. Meaning if you don’t have Jio then you don’t have 5G either… use 4G again if you are using Airtel or any other 5G network. So take special care of this before buying the phone.
How is the camera performance?
The phone has a 50MP Sony camera. Although the back panel of the phone looks like a design with four camera lenses, in reality it has only two cameras. The low-light photography of the phone is average, but the photos taken during the day are decent according to this price range. The portrait mode and front camera also click good photos, but there seems to be a lack of more detail and sharpness. You can guess this by looking at some photo samples.
The battery is big but…
The phone has a 5160mAh battery, which easily lasts for a day. Although this phone supports 18W fast charging, the company has provided only a 10W charger in the box, which seems a bit bad. If you want to charge the phone faster, then you will have to buy an 18W charger separately.
These are the advantages and disadvantages of the overall phone
