Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba Review: Why did Haseen Dillruba come again? You will hold your head after watching Taapsee-Vikrant's film

Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal starrer film ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba’ has been streamed on Netflix. After watching this film, your mind will go blank. Why? Read the review to find out.

Do you remember the 2021 movie ‘Haseen Dilruba’? The same movie starring Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey in which what appears to be is not always the case. Let me give you a recap of the movie. Rani Kashyap (Taapsee Pannu) has an arranged marriage with the simple Rishabh Saxena aka Rishu (Vikrant Massey). After this marriage, both of them are having fun when Rishu’s cousin Neel (Harshvardhan Rane) comes between them.

When Rishu gets a hint of his wife’s affair, he becomes a terribly toxic husband. After falling prey to Rishu’s anger, getting strangled by him, getting pushed down the stairs and getting burnt, Rani realizes that she loves her husband very much and cannot live without him! In such a situation, both of them together kill Neel. To show this as the death of Rani’s husband, Rishu cuts his hand. Rani had planned all this after reading her favourite author Dinesh Pandit’s book Kasauli Ka Kahar. The result of all this was that Rani and Rishu’s ‘love story’

Now ‘Haseen Dilruba’ Rani Kashyap has settled down in Agra after the ‘death’ of her husband Rishu. After breaking off relations with the family, Rani lives in a rented house here and runs a beauty parlor. The area’s compounder Abhimanyu (Sunny Kaushal) is in love with her, whom Rani does not value for a penny. Rani secretly meets Rishu in an unknown city. Both of them plan to earn money and run away abroad. But this plan gets ruined when Rani and Rishu encounter Inspector Kishore Rawat (Aditya Srivastava) in the middle of the market. And then Montu Chacha (Jimmy Shergill) enters their lives.

Now seeing their dream world getting destroyed, Rishu and Rani try to save it. Rishu talks sensibly, but Rani is used to being stupid. So she starts her ‘snake and ladder’ game. Will Rani and Rishu’s love be fulfilled or not and what role will Abhimanyu and Montu Chacha play in all this. The whole movie is about this.

What a film they have made brother!

After watching this movie, it seems that there was no special need to make it. People may have been interested in the story of Rani and Rishu, but this has been made by director Jayprad Desai and written by Kanika Dhillon. The story of the movie is quite senseless. It starts in a dramatic way and as the movie progresses, you sit holding your head. If you are watching it while sick, then God is your master. At least it was the same with me. Your filter of tolerating anything useless gets switched off in fever. In such a situation, the film is clearly seen to be without logic.

A relatable character in the film is Inspector Kishore, who is tired of Rani’s nonsense. On top of that, the silly things that Rani and Rishu are calling love, cannot be called love. On top of that, if Dinesh Pandit’s fictional books are set on fire, it would be fun. Because in half the film, it is just ‘Pandit ji says… Pandit ji says… Pandit ji says…’. It is fun when Rani gets slapped by the police in a scene where Pandit ji says…. Anything is happening at any time in the film. The storyteller is making Rani and Rishu do whatever he wants, while Abhimanyu’s character is completely wasted.
