The central government is putting full emphasis on increasing transport facilities in the National Capital Region (NCR). While roads and overbridges are being constructed to ease movement in NCR cities, metro services are also being expanded. The Regional Rapid Transit System has also been built to connect Delhi to Meerut. Now a plan has also been made to connect Gurugram in Haryana to Greater Noida in UP through RRTS. This corridor will play an important role in improving connectivity between the two cities and reducing traffic congestion.

Recently, in a meeting between Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal, a consensus was reached on the construction of a new RRTS corridor. Apart from this corridor, Gurugram Metro expansion and other metro projects were also discussed in the meeting. The speed of the rapid rail running on this corridor will be 160 km per hour. In this way, it will complete the journey between Gurugram and Greater Noida in just 25 minutes.

The Gurugram-Greater Noida corridor will be 60 km long. The corridor will connect Rajiv Chowk of Gurugram to Noida Sector-142 and Surajpur of Greater Noida. Smooth travel will be possible between major centers like Gurugram, Faridabad and Noida through RRTS, which will provide great relief to the people.
