Mumbai Siddhivinayak Temple Donation: From Bollywood stars to businessmen, lakhs of devotees visit Siddhivinayak Temple every year on Ganesh Chaturthi and other occasions.
Every year lakhs of devotees come to visit the famous Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai and it is a big center of faith. From common people to billionaires, people come to this temple to pay their obeisance. But, the earnings of this temple have been tremendous. During the financial year 2023-24, Siddhivinayak temple earned a record income of Rs 133 crore, which is the highest annual income so far.
According to Bela Jaisinghani’s report, during 2023-24, Rs 114 crore was earned, but in 2024-25 this amount increased by 15% to Rs 133 crore. It is estimated that in the next financial year i.e. 2025-26, the annual income of Siddhivinayak temple may increase to Rs 154 crore.
The temple administration has to say in this regard that this temple has got huge income from devotees through cash, online transactions and gold and silver. Also, this income has increased due to the ever-increasing number of devotees and online donation options. The temple has received 7 crore donations from gold and silver, 98 crore cash received from donation boxes, 10 crores from other sources such as puja bookings and prasad.
In fact, lakhs of devotees from Bollywood stars to businessmen visit Siddhivinayak temple every year on Ganesh Chaturthi and other occasions. However, like Siddhivinayak temple in India, other religious places also receive hundreds of crores of rupees in donations. The annual income of Venkateshwara temple in Andhra Pradesh is around Rs 1500 crore to Rs 1650 crore, which comes in donations.
While the income of Padmanabhaswamy temple in Kerala is between Rs 750 crore and Rs 800 crore every year. This money received in donations is spent by Siddhivinayak Temple Trust on the maintenance, security, expansion works of the temple as well as education, medical facilities, help to the poor and social welfare schemes.
