According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will remain cloudy in Mumbai today and there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain with thunderstorms in the city and suburbs. Apart from this, there is a possibility of 3.93 meter high tide in the sea at 4:25 pm today and 1.58 meter high low tide at 9:02 pm.

Since the arrival of monsoon in Mumbai, heavy rains are occurring in many areas. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain cloudy in Mumbai today and there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain with thunder and lightning in the city and suburbs. Apart from this, there is a possibility of 3.93 meter high tide in the sea at 4:25 pm today and 1.58 meter high low tide at 9:02 pm. At the same time, there is a possibility of 3.11 meter high high tide at 04:16 pm on June 13 and 1.97 meter high low tide at 10:45 pm.

High tide alert in Mumbai

Monsoon arrived in Mumbai on June 9, after which it has been raining heavily there. The rain has given relief to Mumbaikars from the scorching heat and humidity. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai will remain cloudy throughout this week and moderate to heavy rain with thunder and lightning will continue. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of high tide in the sea. According to IMD, the maximum temperature of Mumbai can remain between 32 to 34 degree Celsius this whole week and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 25 to 26 degree Celsius.

Rainfall in these areas of Maharashtra

According to weather forecast agency Skymet, Colaba in Konkan region and Jalgaon in Central Maharashtra have received more than 50 mm of rainfall. All other landlocked subdivisions and coastal areas have received light to moderate rainfall. This includes Jalgaon and Solapur of Central Maharashtra, Parbhani and Nanded of Marathwada, Buldhana and Akola of Vidarbha region. At the same time, there was no rain in Washim, Wardha, Gondia, Nagpur, Brahmapuri of Vidarbha. Now the intensity and spread of rain in Maharashtra will decrease and the rain belt may shift to parts of Karnataka and Telangana.

Apart from this, there was a cyclonic circulation in Marathwada and adjoining Central Maharashtra, due to which these two sub-divisions are receiving good monsoon rains earlier. At the same time, there was no large-scale rain in Vidarbha, especially the eastern part of the sub-division has been spared by monsoon rains. Now this circulation has shifted to parts of South Central Maharashtra and North Interior Karnataka region, due to which the rain belt will shift from most parts of Maharashtra.
