Strong opposition from local residents
The railway administration had already issued notices to remove ‘unauthorized constructions’ to unauthorized constructions. Since the unauthorized constructions were not removed by the citizens despite sending repeated notices, the municipality decided to take this action with the help of the police. Accordingly, a team of employees had reached Jogeshwari at 11 am. These employees started the demolition action on the unauthorized construction at 11 am. Local residents strongly opposed it.
