Maratha Reservation News: Maharashtra has taken a big decision regarding Maratha reservation. Shinde government has approved the proposal to give 10 percent reservation. Shinde government will give 10 percent reservation to Maratha community in jobs and education. Ten percent reservation will be given to Maratha community in Maharashtra. The Cabinet has approved the report given by the Backward Classes Commission in the state.

The report of the Backward Classes Commission was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Eknath Shinde before the special session. Shortly after this, Eknath Shinde spoke on Maratha reservation in the legislature session. The report of the Backward Classes Commission also states that the Maratha community is backward. The report also said that there are exceptional circumstances that require more than 50 percent reservation.

What is mentioned in the bill?

Ten per cent of the total seats and ten per cent of the total number of seats for admission to educational institutions other than minority educational institutions specified in clause one of Article 30 of the Constitution of India as well as private educational institutions, whether aided or not by the State Such reservation in direct service recruitments to public services and posts under the control of the State shall be reserved separately for socially and educationally backward classes. Reservation under this Act will be available only to persons belonging to socially and educationally backward classes.

Sanjay Raut’s big statement came out before the special session for Maratha reservation, Raut said, Before the special session for Maratha reservation, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said, “We all want this decision to be taken unanimously. Go and the pending decision on reservation should become clear.”
