He had called his daughters before committing suicide
According to the police, Malaika Arora’s father Anil Mehta had talked to his two daughters Malaika and Amrita on the morning of 11 September before committing suicide. During the conversation, Anil had said, ‘I’m sick and tired.’ When Anil committed suicide, Malaika’s mother was at home. Anil told both the daughters that he was troubled by his illness. He went to the balcony to smoke a cigarette and committed suicide.
Joyce was suspicious
Anil Mehta lived on the sixth floor of Ayesha Manor building in Bandra. Malaika Arora’s mother Joyce also lives on the same floor in the same building. Anil did not come to say hello to her on the morning of September 11. This was their daily routine. Due to this, they felt that something was wrong. Malaika Arora and her family are deeply shocked by the sudden demise of Anil Mehta. The actress was in Pune at the time of her father’s suicide. As soon as she got the news, she came to Mumbai and has been with her family since then. Anil Mehta’s funeral is to take place on September 12, for which the stars have reached the crematorium.
