Maharashtra OPS: Shinde government of Maharashtra has given a big gift to the state employees on the New Year. On Thursday, the Cabinet approved the Old Pension Scheme i.e. OPS. With this, the pension scheme has been restored for the employees who joined government service after November 2005.

Now the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) of Maharashtra has informed that the restoration of OPS has been approved. Vishwas Katkar, general secretary of Maharashtra State Employees Confederation, said that 26 thousand government employees will benefit from the cabinet decision.
Will have to choose between NPS and OPS in two months.
Employees who are engaged in government jobs after 2005 will have to choose between OPS and NPS. In the next two months, they will also have to submit the related documents to the departments.
