Maharashtra News: Even after the grand victory of the Mahayuti in the Maharashtra assembly elections, it is taking time to decide on the question of the Chief Minister. The three parties are brainstorming on who will be the CM of Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, a news channel quoted BJP sources as saying that this would be a process in which the sentiments of the state workers of the BJP will also be taken into account.
In fact, BJP workers have been demanding the CM post for Devendra Fadnavis since 2022. However, in the previous coalition government, Eknath Shinde was given this role by the top leadership.
BJP got the most seats
The Mahayuti alliance has won the 2024 assembly elections. At the same time, BJP has won the maximum number of seats. Due to having the most seats, BJP workers want Devendra Fadnavis as CM. At the same time, Shiv Sena workers want their leader Eknath Shinde as CM.
Some leaders of the Shinde faction say why can’t Maharashtra become another Bihar, where Nitish Kumar is in the lead role despite BJP’s better performance in the elections. At the same time, if sources are to be believed, Ajit Pawar is ready for the top post to be given to Devendra Fadnavis.
Who has how many seats?
After the results of Maharashtra Assembly, BJP has 132 MLAs, Shiv Sena has 57 and NCP has 41 MLAs. A figure of 145 is required for majority in Maharashtra Assembly. BJP needs only one of its allies to reach this figure.
BJP will send observer
It is believed that a decision on the CM face in Maharashtra can be taken in one to two days. If media reports are to be believed, the names of observers monitoring the Chief Minister selection process will be decided in the next one or two days. After the victory in Maharashtra, there is a preparation to make senior ministers and party leaders observers so that a big political message can be given.
BJP Legislature Party meeting will be held in the presence of observers. In which the leader will be selected after discussion with the MLAs. It is reported that before the meeting of BJP Legislature Party, a decision will be taken about the top post after discussion with the allies. CM Eknath Shinde had resigned from his post a few days ago. The Governor has made him the acting CM till the new CM is appointed.
