A shocking incident has come to light from Pune, Maharashtra. Where a drunk tempo driver hit five vehicles one after the other. Due to which a woman died, while 2 others were injured. After the complaint, the police have arrested the accused tempo driver.
Giving information about the incident, police said that a tempo driven by an allegedly drunk man hit five vehicles in Pune city of Maharashtra, killing a 36-year-old woman and injuring two others.
Police arrested tempo driver
The incident took place on Paud Road in Kothrud area at around 9.15 pm on Sunday. The accused driver Ashish Pawar (26) has been arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act, the official said.
According to the police, the accused allegedly drove the tempo at a high speed on Paud Road under the influence of alcohol and hit four-five vehicles including some two-wheelers. In this accident, Geetanjali Amrale died,
while her husband Sambhaji Amrale and two others Sahol Paite and Madhuri Dahotre were injured. They are currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital. At present, the accused driver has been arrested and the case is being investigated.
