Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Political turmoil is intense in Maharashtra regarding the Lok Sabha elections. Efforts are continuing to create coordination with the alliance partners in the state. Maharashtra Deputy CM and senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has claimed that about 80 percent of the issues regarding seat sharing in the Lok Sabha elections have been resolved. He said that the remaining issues regarding seats will be resolved soon.
Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis further said that there has been a positive discussion in Delhi regarding the Lok Sabha seats of Maharashtra. About 80 percent of the issues have been resolved and the remaining 20 percent of the issues are under discussion. Fadnavis expressed confidence that soon we will resolve all the issues and form a better alliance in Maharashtra.
Consensus reached between NDA in Maharashtra?
In view of the Lok Sabha elections, the formula for seat sharing among NDA allies in Maharashtra has not been finalized yet. On Friday (8 March), a meeting was held in Delhi at the house of Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah regarding Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections. In this meeting held in Delhi, the distribution of seats between Eknath Shinde faction Shiv Sena, NCP and BJP was discussed. It is being told that even after a meeting of about two and a half hours, a complete consensus could not be reached. However, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis says that most of the issues have been resolved.

How many seats were won in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections?
There are total 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, there was an alliance between BJP and Shiv Sena. During this period, BJP had fielded its candidates on a total of 25 seats, out of which it had won 23 seats. At the same time, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena had fielded its candidates on 23 seats and won on 18 seats.
