Lok Sabha Election 2024: Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Qadri, working president of Maharashtra unit of AIMIM, targeted the opposition Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for calling themselves secular and said that both the parties consider AIMIM untouchable.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is planning to contest 5 out of total 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. A party leader gave this information.
Addressing reporters here in Bhiwandi on Sunday, AIMIM’s Maharashtra unit working president Dr Abdul Ghaffar Qadri said the party is planning to field its candidates in North Mumbai, Dhule, Nanded, Bhiwandi and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar seats in the state. . He said that the Asaduddin Owaisi led party is currently conducting a survey on these seats to prepare an effective election strategy.
Along with this, Qadri targeted the opposition Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) for calling themselves secular and said that both the parties consider AIMIM untouchable. He also raised questions about the treatment meted out to AIMIM by the so-called secular parties. AIMIM is not a part of the opposition alliance India.
