Lok Sabha Election 2024: AIMIM will contest on 5 seats in Maharashtra, India's mathematics will deteriorate on these 4 seats.

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s party All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) has decided to contest elections on 5 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra this time. In 2019, the party played in Maharashtra politics and won one seat by a very narrow margin.

During a press conference in Bhiwandi city, the working president of AIMIM in Maharashtra, Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Qadri has said that this time his party is preparing to contest elections on 5 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

AIMIM is conducting survey to contest elections on 5 seats in Maharashtra

According to the party leader, Owaisi’s party is currently conducting a survey on five Lok Sabha seats in the state, so that an effective election strategy can be prepared for it.

Owaisi’s party has its eyes on these 5 seats of Maharashtra

According to the AIMIM leader, this time the five Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra on which his party is preparing to contest elections include Mumbai North, Dhule, Bhiwandi, Nanded and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad).

AIMIM had won Aurangabad seat in Maharashtra in 2019.

Of these, Owaisi’s party had registered a shocking victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Aurangabad or Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Then former Shiv Sena leader Harshvardhan Jadhav had contested the elections as an independent and got 24% votes here.

The result was that BJP-backed Shiv Sena candidate Chandrakant Khaire got only 32.08% votes and AIMIM’s Syed Imtiaz Jaleel won the race with 32.45% votes.

AIMIM can especially spoil the hopes of Congress on these four seats.

But, if Owaisi’s party moves forward on the basis of its plan, then the problems of opposition India Bloc and Congress may increase on four seats. For example, BJP won Mumbai North seat with 71.38% votes. Here Congress got only 24.39% votes.

Talking about Dhule Lok Sabha seat, BJP won the election here with 56.36% votes and Congress got only 35.3% votes.

In Nanded, Congress candidate got 39.55% votes, but BJP won here too with 43.1% votes. The fourth seat is Bhiwandi, where this time AIMIM wants to try its luck.

Last time here BJP candidate had got 52.07% votes and Congress had got 36.52% votes. In such a situation, the record of the last elections shows that due to Owaisi’s claim on all four seats, the problems of India Block are going to increase. Because, the target of Owaisi’s party is Muslim votes, on which Congress’s eyes are also fixed.

AIMIM leader’s target on Congress-NCP

The special thing is that Qadri’s target is also the India Bloc parties Congress and NCP, about which he says that they claim themselves to be secular, but consider AIMIM as ‘untouchable’.

AIMIM has increased its support base in Maharashtra

Owaisi’s party has also claimed that all is ‘not well’ in the opposition India alliance. Apart from Telangana, among the states where the Hyderabad MP has increased his electoral presence, Maharashtra is the most prominent.

The party has also made serious efforts in Bihar and UP. In the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, the party had got 5 seats in the state, but 4 of its MLAs joined Lalu Yadav’s RJD within a few days. But, it could not get that much success in the UP assembly elections. (Input-PTI)
