Spy Loan Apps List: Google has recently removed 17 Spy Loan apps from Google Play store, which had millions of downloads. According to a report by ESET, it has spotted at least 17 apps identified as ‘Spy Loan’ on Google Play Store during this year. These apps were designed to spy on loan taking users by collecting large amounts of information from their devices. The special thing is that this information was later being used to blackmail the loan takers and make them repay the amount at high interest rates.
ESET Researchers have also released a list of these apps designed to deceive users. It is being said that these apps are targeting people living in Africa, Latin America and South East Asia. The security company said that out of the 18 apps it had previously reported to Google, the search giant removed 17 apps.
The last app is still available on the App Store as a new version of the app was released recently on the Play Store. Android users need to note that Google has removed these apps.
