Government is moving towards creating a new ITR portal for e-filing of income tax
This news has come to light quoting the Wealth Edition (ET Wealth Online) of Economic Times, under which it has been told that an internal circular has been issued. It has been said that the arrangements being made related to the technical work to create a new ITR portal for e-filing of income tax are important in tax filing as well as a big step towards establishing a better system.
The idea behind the idea of IEC 3.0 is to provide secure and user-friendly methods for the convenience of income tax filing. On October 8, 2024, it has been said that a new project IEC 3.0 (which will replace the existing IEC 2.0 project) has been launched and the process of bringing it has been completed. IEC stands for the existing Integrated e-Filing and Centralized Processing Center.
Income tax department is taking public opinion
The Income Tax Department is currently taking public opinion and taking the opinion of stakeholders before bringing the new ITR e-filing 3.o portal so that this system can be brought to the country as a more user-friendly portal. Along with this, suggestions from the public are also being invited.
