Do Aur Do Pyaar Review: Love which cannot be perfect, is it really like this? If it was so then why would the love stories of Amitabh Rekha, Dilip Kumar Madhubala, Raj Kapoor-Nargis become legends. After marriage, a relationship has a happy ending, all this used to happen in films earlier, now perhaps it does not happen in modern times, what are the problems in today’s marriages, where does love reduce or end? Today married couples start looking for love elsewhere. This film talks about happiness after marriage and does it properly.
Story
Vidya Balan and Prateek Gandhi are husband and wife, both of them had a love marriage against the family. Many years have passed since their marriage, but now they do not fight, you will say that this is a good thing but sir, by fighting, relationships remain alive, this is what Vidya says in the film and perhaps this is also true, that is, their relationship is no longer alive. Is. Both of them are having extra marital affairs. While Vidya is in love with a handsome photographer Sendhil Ramamurthy, Prateik is in love with a theater actor Ileana D’Cruz. Ileane also becomes the mother of Prateek’s child, both Vidya and Prateek want to tell each other that they want to end this marriage but are unable to say so. Meanwhile, someone in the family dies and they have to go to a funeral, will that funeral also be the end of their relationship? Will both of them come together again? What will happen about their extra marital affair? To know this you will have to watch this film.
How is the movie
There is not much noise about this film because there is no big hero in it, but when Vidya is there, then what is the need of a big hero. But this film is good. This film shows the truth of relationships which you can relate to. There are no heavy dialogues in the film but you connect with the ones that are there. You think this happens with us too, this happens around us too. Perhaps by watching this film you will be able to understand how the relationship between husband and wife becomes after a few years and if years have passed since your marriage then you will also be able to relate to it. This film also beautifully shows the relationship between father and daughter. Overall this is a relatable film. This is not a film where the hero beats up 20 goons but when the hero says something, it touches your heart. Senthil’s broken Hindi brings a smile to your face. You find Vidya’s style charming. Symbols touch the heart.
Acting
Vidya Balan is the hero of the film. She plays all three roles of a wife, a daughter and a lover and plays them with great gusto. Looking at Vidya you feel that she is an amazing actress. Every expression, every dialogue seems relatable. You connect with Vidya’s character. Come along with them in their story. Looking at Pratik Gandhi, it seems that if this guy can act so well in front of a seasoned actress like Vidya, then he will go far ahead. Prateek has played this character with complete perfection. Senthil looks very handsome and you just fall in love with his Hindi. He is an American actor and here too he is playing the role of a foreign photographer and is completely fit for this character. Ileana also looks good. Had she been given more space, she would have done better.
Direction
This is the first film of Shirsha Guha Thakurta. His direction is solid. He has a good understanding of relationships and this is also visible on screen. He has used an actress like Vidya wisely. Watching this film gives more hope to him.
Overall it is a good film and married people will be able to relate to it, it may not appeal to the younger generation as much.
