DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme: If you are dreaming of buying a cheap house in Delhi, then you can apply in DDA’s scheme. Camps will be set up to help people under DDA’s Sasta Ghar Scheme. People from many categories will get houses at 25 percent discount under this scheme.
Preparations are being made to organize special camps for the beneficiaries of the Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme. In the last board meeting of DDA, LG V.K. Saxena had approved this scheme. Now a letter has been written to the Chief Secretary by the LG office to organize special camps for the convenience of the beneficiaries.
Under this scheme, people will be able to buy houses at a discount of 25 percent. Under the scheme, construction workers, auto-taxi drivers, women, Veer Nari, ex-servicemen, Divyang, Gallantry and Arjun Awardees and SC-ST will get benefits. These special camps will be organized with the Delhi Building and Other Construction Welfare Board. These camps will be organized at DMRC, NCRTC, CPWD, NHAI and other locations, so that the workers working here can take advantage of this scheme. Along with this, they can also take advantage of other schemes of the board. Under the scheme, priority will be given to workers, laborers, slum dwellers and those living on rent.
Loan facility will also be available
The State Sainik Board will also run a special outreach program. This will make it easier for Veer Nari, ex-servicemen and Gallantry and Arjun Awardees to avail the scheme. The Transport Department will organize such special camps for auto-taxi drivers at the Burari Transport Office. At the same time, Delhi Schedule Caste Finance and Development Corporation will help SC-ST category applicants in getting loan facility.
Report will have to be given every 15 days
WCD, Social Welfare Department and SC-ST Department will set up camps. DDA’s concerned officials will be present at every camp site. These officials will have complete information about the scheme. A nodal officer of the concerned departments will also be present at every camp. The departments have been asked to give the report of these camps to the Chief Secretary every 15 days.
What is the benefit of a special camp?
It is important to organize special camps for the beneficiaries under the Sasta Ghar Scheme because it will make it easier for them to apply. The class for which this scheme is meant does not have enough time to go to government offices and fill up forms apart from earning their livelihood.
Apart from this, there is also a fear that some brokers also take advantage of such a situation. This can also cause financial loss to these people. In such a situation, if camps are organized, then these people will be able to apply near their homes and they will also be able to get information about the documents to be submitted at the time of application.
