Actually, actor Daniel Balaji, who proved his acting prowess in Tamil and Malayalam films, died of a heart attack in a private hospital in Chennai on Friday (29 March) night. It is being told that he had complained of chest pain on Friday, after which he was taken to a hospital in Kottivakam, Chennai.
However, despite treatment, he could not be saved. His mortal remains have been taken to his residence in Purasaivalakam for the last rites. He was 48 years old. The sudden demise of Daniel Balaji has come as a big shock to his fans and the Tamil film industry.

While paying tribute to Balaji, director Mohan Raja wrote, “He was his inspiration to join the Film Institute. He was a very good friend of mine, I will miss working with him. May his soul rest in peace.”
