City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (CIDCO) has launched this scheme. In this, the draw of house buyers will be taken out through lottery. In this scheme released under the name CIDCO Lottery 2024, flats are being launched only in EWS and LIG sections. Its purpose is to provide housing to low-income and economically weaker sections in Mumbai.

Till when can you register?

CIDCO has been working on urban development in Mumbai since 1970. On the instructions of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, CIDCO has set a target of developing 26,502 cheap houses in Navi Mumbai. The registration fee in this is just Rs 236, which will be non-refundable. Registration has also started from October 12 and can be done till November 11, 2024.

What is the eligibility and necessary documents?

Only those people can apply in this scheme who are permanent residents of Maharashtra. Apart from this, they should be economically weak or come under the lower class. For application, Aadhar card, PAN card, income proof, residence certificate, 5 recent photographs and Aadhar and PAN data of the co-applicant will also be used.

What is the booking amount?

To apply for the scheme, you will have to go to the official website of CIDCO and open the register option. Here you will have to fill the registration form and upload all your details and necessary documents. If you are applying for EWS, then you will have to deposit Rs 75 thousand and GST. Apart from this, in the LIG category, you will have to deposit Rs 1.5 lakh and GST for a 1 BHK flat and Rs 2 lakh and GST for a 2 BHK flat.

How will the house be allotted?

After applying, CIDCO will issue a list of all eligible applicants. Those whose names are not there can complain within 7 days and get the correction done. After this, CIDCO will issue the final list. Those whose applications are accepted will be issued a Letter of Intent (LOI) and will be told the scheme to pay the remaining amount. Those whose applications are rejected will get their money back within 30 days.
