Recently, necessary changes have been made in the rules related to locker fees and security of banks. These changes will be applicable to most of the top banks of the country including SBI, ICICI and PNB.

Bank Locker Fees: Banks provide the facility of opening an account to keep the hard-earned money safe. Now most of the people in India have bank accounts, where they deposit their money. Along with money, you can also deposit your precious jewellery, important documents etc. in the bank.

For this, the bank provides you the facility of lockers. While most people have bank accounts, the number of people availing the facility of bank lockers is still limited. Recently, necessary changes have been made in the bank locker fees and security related rules. These changes will be applicable to the top banks of the country including State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB), ICICI Bank.

This is how locker fees are decided

Before we tell you about the new fees charged by the country’s top banks for lockers , here we are telling you how the bank locker fees are decided. The charges levied by different banks for locker facility are different. Not only this, the fee for a locker (Bank Lockers Services) also depends on the size of the locker and the area, rural or urban, in which branch it is located.

Here you are being told about the new locker fees of the top banks of the country.

Punjab National Bank Locker ( PNB Locker Fees ): If you take a small locker in a rural area branch of Punjab National Bank, then you will have to pay a fee of Rs 1250 for it. On the other hand, if you take a locker in a metro city, then you may have to pay a fee of Rs 2000 for a small locker and Rs 5000-10,000 for a big locker.

SBI Bank Locker ( SBI Locker Fees ): If you take a small locker in a branch in a rural area, you will have to pay a fee of up to Rs 1500. At the same time, to take a big locker in a branch in a metro city, you may have to pay a fee of up to Rs 12000.

HDFC Bank Locker Charges : If you take a locker in a rural branch of HDFC Bank, you may have to pay a fee of Rs 500-3000. In normal cities, you may have to pay a fee of Rs 1500-7000 and in metro cities, you may have to pay a fee of Rs 1350 to Rs 10,000.

ICICI Bank Locker (ICICI Locker Charges): The initial fee for getting a locker in a rural branch of ICICI is Rs 1200, whereas for opening a bigger locker in cities, one may have to pay a fee of up to Rs 22,000.
