In December, banks will remain closed on the occasions of St. Francis Xavier Feast, Pa-Togan Nengminja Sangma, Death Anniversary of U Soso Tham, Goa Liberation Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas, Christmas Celebrations, U Kiang Nangbah and New Year’s Eve/Losong/Namsung.

- 18 December (Wednesday): Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on the occasion of death anniversary of U Soso Tham.
- 19 December (Thursday): Banks will remain closed in Goa on the occasion of Goa Liberation Day.
- 24 December (Thursday): Banks will remain closed in Mizoram, Nagaland and Meghalaya on the occasion of Christmas Eve.
- 25 December (Wednesday): Banks will remain closed across India on the occasion of Christmas.
- 26 December (Thursday): Bank holiday in different places due to Christmas celebrations.
- 27 December (Friday): Holiday in many places for Christmas celebrations.
- 30 December (Monday): Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on the occasion of U Kiang Nangbah.
- 31 December (Tuesday): Banks will remain closed in Mizoram and Sikkim on the occasion of New Year’s Eve/Losong/Namsung.
Also, banks will remain closed on 1,8, 15, 22, 29 December (Sunday) due to weekly holidays. Banks will remain closed on December 14 and 18 (Saturday) as it is second and fourth Saturday.
