Maharashtra News: Maharashtra Shiv Sena Shinde faction MLA Anil Babar died on January 31. Babar was 74 years old. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed grief over his demise.

Anil Babar Passes Away: Anil Babar, MLA of Shinde faction of Shiv Sena from Khanapur-Atpadi assembly constituency of Sangli district of Maharashtra, died on Wednesday (January 31). 74-year-old Anil Babar was admitted to a hospital in Sangli on Tuesday (January 30) afternoon due to pneumonia.

Anil Babar was born in Gardi village of Khanapur taluka of Sangli. After the news of his demise, CM Eknath Shinde has canceled the cabinet meeting to be held today. He was considered a very close and trusted MLA of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde .

 

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has expressed grief over the demise of Anil Babar. He said, “Khanapur assembly constituency MLA Anil Babar has passed away tragically. With his demise, we have lost a very effective public representative who ran the social work wing of Shiv Sena. Instructions have been given to perform his last rites in the government cremation ground.”

Eknath Shinde said that whether Anil Babar is trying to provide houses to the homeless or organizing blood donation camps, trying to implement the Krishna Valley Water and Tent Scheme or Acted as an exemplary public representative spreading education at the grassroots level through educational institutions. He always fought militantly for the problems of the farmers in Atpadi area. I have lost a close friend and mentor.

Started politics at the age of 19.

After the split in Shiv Sena, Anil Babar decided to go with Eknath Shinde. Expressing his displeasure with Mahavikas Aghadi, he strongly supported Eknath Shinde’s rebellion and was with Eknath Shinde from the beginning in Guwahati. In the case of disqualification, Anil Babar’s name was at the forefront in the list of names given by the Thackeray group. Anil Babar was elected MLA in 2019 on Shiv Sena’s election symbol. He had defeated Sadashiv Patil, who was standing as an independent. Anil Babar has been MLA four times in 1990, 1999, 2014, 2019. Born in a farmer family, Babar entered politics at the age of 19.
