If it is found during this verification of Anganwadi workers that the women are taking advantage of the scheme by ignoring the criteria, then they will have to return the Rs 10,500 that has been credited to the government’s account so far. Due to this, the Ladki Bahin sisters have suffered a big setback.
In fact, the Women and Child Welfare Department is going to start scrutinizing the applications of the women beneficiaries of the Ladki Bahin Yojana. The help of the Income Tax and Transport Departments will be taken for this scrutiny. The Income Tax Department will give the details of the women’s money. The Transport Department will give information whether the house where the woman lives has a four-wheeler or not. Meanwhile, the government has now given further impetus to the scrutiny of the applications. The government will send Anganwadi workers directly to the houses of the beneficiary women.
‘Those’ women will be excluded from the scheme
The decision to exclude women with four-wheelers from the Ladki Bahin scheme was already taken. The government was also getting information from the transport department in this regard. After this, the government will now send Anganwadi workers to the homes of the beneficiary women. This time, if the Anganwadi workers verify that the women have a four-wheeler in their family, they will be excluded from the Ladki Bahin scheme. Due to this, these women will face a big setback and they will have to return the money from the scheme.
According to the information received, if the four-wheeler is in the name of the father-in-law, brother-in-law, or other family members and the beneficiary woman lives separately from her husband and child, the woman will continue to benefit from the scheme.
Seven installments deposited in women’s accounts
Meanwhile, the Ladki Bahin Yojana was started from June. After that, the government started depositing Rs 1500 in the accounts of women from July. Till now, Rs 10,500 in seven installments has been deposited in the accounts of women. Now the women are waiting for Rs 1500 in the month of February. This money is likely to be received in the last week of February. Meanwhile, if the application is rejected by the time this money reaches the account, then there is a possibility that all the money will have to be returned.
