The police had received information that three women from Bangladesh were living in Kalyan-Dombivali area. After this, the police raided and arrested them.

Action on receiving information

Sub Inspector Vikas Madke posted at Mahatma Phule police station said that the police had received information that some Bangladeshi women live near Kalyan railway station. After this, the police arrested the three women. He said, “All three women were living in India for the last three years. However, no documents related to India were found from them during the search. All three women first reached West Bengal from Bangladesh and after that they came and started living in Mumbai.” Case registered and investigation started
At present, the police have registered a case against the three under the Indian Penal Code and the Foreigners’ Citizenship Act and started investigation. Earlier, three Bangladeshi women living illegally in Thane district of Maharashtra were arrested.

According to media reports, these women were living in Anil Patil Chawl in Kolegaon under Manpada police station in Dombivali area of ​​Thane district. These women were arrested by Thane Crime Branch Unit-4.

All three women have been identified

According to Thane Crime Branch, the arrested women have been identified as Rozina Begum (29), Tanzila Khatoon (22) and Shefali Begum (23). All the women are residents of Navapara area of ​​Jessore district of Bangladesh. It is noteworthy that from January 1 to January 11, more than 26 Bangladeshi citizens have been arrested from various areas of Mumbai.
