Vande Bharat Sleeper train is going to start soon in Indian Railways. However, the manufacturing of this train has not started yet. Many claims are being made about the delay in Vande Bharat Sleeper train. It is being said in many media reports that the manufacturing is getting delayed due to changes in the design. The Railway Minister rejected all these reports.
We will all soon see the sleeper train of Vande Bharat running on the tracks. According to the government, the arrival of this train will make rail travel more comfortable. However, Vande Bharat is running in many metros of the country. Now with the arrival of Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, a big change can be seen in the railway sector.
For some time now, many reasons are being considered for the delay of Vande Bharat’s sleeper train. Now a new update has come out regarding this. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw himself told in a media interaction that why the sleeper train is getting delayed.
Claim rejected
Ashwini Vaishnaw rejected the claim in which it was being said that the manufacturing process of Vande Bharat’s sleeper train was delayed due to lack of clearance for the design of the train.
While talking to journalists, the Railway Minister said that the Russian company that was engaged for manufacturing these trains never had any problem with the train design. Some time ago, media reports were quoting officials of the Russian company Transmashholding (TMH) saying that the Indian Railways was demanding toilets and pantry cars in the train. Due to this, the design of the train was changed. Apart from this, it was also said in the report that the Railway Ministry changed the design of the train and then gave clearance.
Why is there a delay
Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Russian firm has less manufacturing capacity. This is the reason why the manufacturing of sleeper trains is getting delayed. Actually, the Russian firm usually manufactures small coaches. Indian Railways had given an order to make a train with 16, 20 or 24 coaches. Now the problem regarding the number of coaches is over and manufacturing will start soon.
