Paytm UPI: The reach of Paytm is growing rapidly outside the country. One97 Communications Limited, which owns Paytm, has given users the facility to make UPI payments in many countries outside India.
According to the information given by the company, Indians can now make digital payments in such countries by using their payment app. The countries where Paytm UPI app can be used include UAE, Sri Lanka, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Bhutan and Nepal.
Activation will happen like this
With this facility, users abroad can make all kinds of payments including shopping, dining and local experiences through UPI through their app. The company said that users can set up UPI International once in the payment app, which will be linked to their bank account. On scanning the UPI-enabled QR code in other countries, the app will automatically prompt for activation, which will make it easy to access.
Set payment according to your tour
If you are going abroad and want to make payment through Paytm UPI, then you can manage it for a period of 1 to 90 days according to your tour. Once set, you can deactivate it anytime. During payment, users can see the foreign exchange rate and conversion fee, this ensures complete transparency before making a transaction.
Shopping will be easy with Paytm UPI
The company said that from restaurants and shopping spots in Dubai to markets in Singapore and beach markets in Mauritius, craft shops in Bhutan and local shopping in Nepal and gems shopping in Sri Lanka, you can make payment through Paytm UPI.
A payment spokesperson said that as a giant of mobile payment in the country, we are constantly innovating to provide more facilities to our users. Indian travellers can now make safe, cashless payments in countries like UAE, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Bhutan and Nepal.
Work is being done to increase the scope of UPI
Let us tell you that the Government of India is continuously working on increasing the scope of UPI outside the country as well. In the last one and a half years, UPI facility has become available in many countries.
Currently, UPI can be used in Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Bhutan, UAE, Singapore, Oman and Nepal. Apart from this, it is expected to be launched soon in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Australia, USA, Bahrain, Japan, Philippines etc.
