Sayani Gupta spoke about intimate scenes, ‘Wearing a short dress in front of 70 men…’

Bollywood actress Sayani Gupta has worked in many films like ‘Jolly LLB 2’, ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, ‘Article 15’ and ‘Baar Baar Dekho’. The actress talked about how intimate scenes are shot in films and what kind of risks an actor has to take in these matters in an interview.

How are intimate scenes shot?

Sometimes the reality behind the glamour seen in films is not what you see. Sometimes they can be very tricky. What is in a director’s mind and what kind of scene he wants can be challenging to bring on screen. It is in the hands of the actors to decide that they should understand it and then bring it on screen. The biggest problem in this comes during an intimate shoot. Many times the actors also have a long discussion about the scene to make each other comfortable. But the case is not always the same.

Now talking on this matter, actor Sayani Gupta shared many things with Radio Nasha. The actress talked about intimacy scenes. She told that many things are improving with changing times. Now while shooting intimate scenes or bold scenes, there are intimacy coordinators and directors on the set. They are shot very professionally but many people also take advantage of it.

There was no staff around me – Sayani

The actress also talked about the security on the set during Four More Shots. The actress was shooting in Goa. She said, ‘I had to lie down on the sand on the seashore in a short dress and there were about 70 people in front of me along with the crew. I was feeling very unsafe at that time, because there were about 70 people in front of me. There was not a single person next to me on the set who could give me a shawl. There was not even a single member of the staff.’

Kept kissing even after saying cut
Sayani Gupta further said, ‘I can write a whole book on intimacy. But now I am thankful that there are intimacy coordinators in our profession. I was shooting for the film Margarita with a Straw in the year 2013. Some people say that doing intimate scenes is easy because it is done in a very technical way. But under the guise of this, some people also take advantage of it. I have faced this where the person kept kissing me even after the doctor said cut.’
