Maharashtra Assembly Elections: The Maharashtra government has declared a public holiday on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 due to the elections to be held in the state. Elections for 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra will be held in a single phase on November 20 (Wednesday).
Apart from this, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has also given holidays to banks in the state for the Assembly General Elections, 2024. According to RBI guidelines, banks will remain closed in Maharashtra on November 20. That is, banks will remain closed in all cities like Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur on November 20. However, online bank transactions will not be affected by the bank closure on November 20.
Along with digital banking, UPI platforms will also remain operational. Customers are advised to sign up for mobile and net banking if they have not yet done so so that their work is not affected. At the same time, ATMs will also remain operational.
