Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Sunday that keeping in mind the election code of conduct, advance payments are being made to the beneficiaries of Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana for the months of October and November. He said that after the code of conduct comes into force, opposition parties may create obstacles in the monthly assistance given to women beneficiaries under the scheme, so this decision has been taken. Assembly elections in the state are likely to be held in November. The current term of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly will end on November 26.
Women are given Rs 1500 every month
CM said during a rally in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, “Sensing the possible move of the opposition, the Maharashtra government has started making monthly payments under the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana for October and November. Under this scheme, women with an annual family income of less than Rs 2.5 lakh are given Rs 1500 per month as assistance. Sources said that the schemes running in the state are generally not affected by the model code of conduct, but the Shinde government does not want to take any risk.
Eknath Shinde, citing the praise of the Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana by famous singer Asha Bhosle, said that this is a slap on the face of the opposition, because it is spreading fake discussions about the scheme.

Let us tell you that earlier Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had announced that the amount of Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana will be increased from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 3,000 per month. While addressing a gathering, the state’s Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had said that the amount of Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana for the month of October-November will be deposited in the accounts of the sisters before 10 October.
