Many government and private banks of the country are offering special FD schemes. The banks offering these schemes include State Bank of India (SBI), Indian Bank, IDBI and Punjab and Sind Bank.
You can take advantage of this opportunity and get higher returns on FD. However, the deadline for all these schemes is 30 September 2024. That is, you have to invest by the end of this month. If the banks extend the date, you will be able to invest next month as well.
SBI Wecare
SBI has extended its WeCare scheme till 30 September. New customers or those who are investing again after withdrawal can invest in this scheme. The interest rate in this scheme is 7.50%.
IDBI Bank
IDBI Bank has extended the validity date of its special FD scheme Utsav Callable FD till September 30. It is available for special tenures of 300 days, 375 days and 444 days. The bank offers 7.05% interest rate for general citizens and 7.55% for senior citizens on 300 days Utsav FD. The interest rate for 444 days FD is 7.35% for general citizens and 7.85% for senior citizens.
Punjab And Sind Bank
Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) had extended the last date for special FDs of 222 days, 333 days and 444 days to September 30, 2024. According to reports, the bank has revised its fixed deposit rates from July 1, 2024. For FDs of 222 days, the bank offers an interest rate of 6.30%, while on special deposits with a tenure of 333 days, it offers 7.15%. The bank offers an interest rate of 7.25% to common citizens on a tenure of 444 days.
Indian Bank
Indian Bank is offering a special FD scheme to the general public called Ind Super. For the 300-day special FD, it offers an interest rate of 7.05%, while for senior citizens it is 7.55% and for super senior citizens it is 7.80%. For the 400-day special FD, it offers 7.25% interest to the general public and senior citizens and super senior citizens get 7.75% and 8.00% interest respectively.
