The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of rain in five districts of the state today.

These include Raigad in Konkan, Pune in Western Maharashtra and Yavatmal, Wardha and Amravati districts in Vidarbha. At the same time, an appeal has been made by the administration that the citizens of these districts should be cautious. At the same time, rain has reduced in Pune urban area for the last two days, but before that there was heavy rain here. Therefore, the water problem of Pune residents is now over.

These dams of Pune are full

7.97 TMC (93.64 percent) of water has been stored in Pawna Dam, which supplies water to Pimpri-Chinchwad city of Pune and its surrounding areas. Other dams in Pune district, Kalmodi, Andhra, Bhatghar and Ujani dams are 100 percent full and water is being released from these dams. The Water Resources Department has said that apart from this, Pedgaon, Dimbe, Chasakaman, Bhama Askhede, Vadiwale, Kasarsai, Gunjwani, Nira Devghar and Veer dams are also full to the brim.

Let us tell you that all the four dams supplying water to Mumbai are also full to the brim. In such a situation, now the year-long water worries of Mumbaikars are over. The four dams that have overflowed due to heavy rains include Tansa Dam, Modaksagar Dam, Bhatsa Dam and Vaitrana Dam.
